You will be welcomed by our friendly hosts and owners, Roger and Cynthia Longworth, to the Feather Nest Bed & Breakfast, a modern affordable homely accommodation in a quiet area of a little Karoo town, where you may either spend a night, weekend or holiday in a private surrounding in which you will feel right at home. Oudtshoorn, the "Ostrich Capital of the World", nestles between the Swartberg and Outeniqua mountains and is the ideal base from which to explore the many tourist attractions: the world famous Cango Caves; Ostrich farms, where you can ride the world's largest bird; Touch a Cheetah in Cheetah land; Cango Wildlife Ranch; The Angora Rabbit Farm; some of South Africa's awesome mountain passes; and many more.

Hotel information You will be welcomed by your friendly hosts and owners, Roger and Cynthia Longworth and escorted to your own private suite consisting of two bedrooms and bathroom, lounge with bar fridge, and spacious balcony with lovely views. Each room has its own colour TV, ceiling fan as well as coffee and tea facilities.
From here on, the choice is yours. You can relax in the beautifully furnished lounge; you can enjoy the private, well-tended garden and soak up the sun next to the swimming pool or you can visit some of the many tourist attractions in and around Oudtshoorn.
Whatever you choose to do, make time for an early evening cocktail and enjoy the spectacular Karoo sunsets. Settle in for a barbeque right where you are or arrange with Roger and Cynthia to have a prepared dinner. In the morning you will rise to the sound of birds and the smell of a good, hearty breakfast. Thereafter, sit in the tranquil surrounds and indulge in some birdwatching while planning your trip for the day.
