Hotel information

Absalon Hotel is a 3-star hotel centrally located in Copenhagen. We offer 165 comfortable rooms, and, additionally, we offer 19 de luxe rooms and 2 suites, all with a series of extra facilities, at our Top Floor. Only a short walk from the Central Station, Absalon Hotel is easy to reach from anywhere in Europe, and from the airport the train reaches the hotel in only 12 minutes. The location is central, cultural as well as geographic, and a large part of Copenhagen’s many amusements are in the vicinity of the hotel. Within easy walking distance you will find Tivoli, The Town Hall Square, the pedestrian street Strøget, the exhibition centre Øksnehallen and an endless number of restaurants, cinemas and theatres. The hotel reception is open day and night, and our well-educated staff is at your service 24 hours a day. Our large breakfast buffet is served every morning in the cosy breakfast restaurant. If you arrive by car, you can either park in the street, or in one of the secure parking grounds situated 250 metres from the hotel. The Absalon Hotel makes up an elderly family run hotel. For many years, the hotel has been a well-known facade in the part of downtown Copenhagen known as Vesterbro. Absalon Hotel was founded in 1938 by the parents of the present owners. The neighbouring buildings have later been taken over by the hotel that today consists of 176 rooms in Absalon Hotel. The exciting history of the hotel has left its mark on, among other things, the reception. Here you will find original nameplates from old times, busts and pictures of the founder of Copenhagen, Bishop Absalon, and a small, original sculpture of the Little Mermaid made by the Danish sculptor Edvard Eriksen. Remaining faithful to its roots and history, is part of why the, otherwise busy and modern, hotel can welcome you with such a genuine atmosphere of warmth and friendliness.,
