From this point of view Plaka is your best choice. It is the most picturesque, safe and pleasant region of Athens. Plaka is the ancient city of Athens, situated at the foot of Acropolis, the symbol of Greek civilization. Music, restaurants, beautiful shops, lighted crowded streets, interlaced with quite side-streets in one of which is our hotel. It is also very easy to reach our hotel from the airport with the metro line or bus (see travel information) whose final stop is the Syntagma Square, the political centre with the houses of Parliament and the residences of Greek President and Prime Minister in the National Garden. Travel informationThere are a couple of ways to get to the hotel from the airport. First, you can use express bus line E95 from the airport (or X95 - this is the same line and the same bus) to the final stop at 'Syntagma Square'. One ticket costs EUR 2.90 per person. The final bus stop is on Syntagma Square. Our hotel is a five minutes' walk from there. You have to take Filellinon Street, which begins at the Syntagma square and walk 2 blocks until the corner with NAVARXU NIKODIMU Street, turn right and walk one block until the corner with Nikis street. There at the corner you will see our hotel at Nikis street number 40. By taxi from the airport. Our exact address is: Nikis Street 40 (corner with Navarkhou Nikodimou Str.), Plaka, district of Syntagma square, Athens Downtown. A taxi should not cost you more than EUR 25. Third, you can use metro line towards 'Monastiraki' from the airport. One ticket costs there 6,00 Euro per person. Please pay attention to leave the metro train on Syntagma Square and after that just follow the above instructions as for using express bus line.
