Information sur les alentours

Nikko Toshogu Shrine Nikko Toshogu was built as a shrine and mausoleum by Hidetada Tokugawa for the veneration of his father, Ieyasu Tokugawa, the founder of the Tokugawa Shogunate (1603-1868). A popular sightseeing spot and rightly so, the structures are famous for the ornate carvings that decorate the entire buildings. The spring grand festival is held May 17th and 18th, and the autumn grand festival October 17th of every year, with classical sights of portable shrines and feudal processions. Kegon Falls Kegon Falls is an extremely popular destination for Japanese and foreign tourists alike who are looking for breathtaking natural surroundings. The 100-meter-high waterfall fed diredtly from Lake Chuzenji freezes over completely in the winter, bringing new scenery with the changing seasons. The area also offers magnificent mountain scenery, including Nikko National Park, and numerous "onsen" hot springs.,
