Built in 1772 by Earl Carel George van Wassenaar, Lord of Twickel, as an inn on the Twickel Canal. Under the management of the Kluvers Family since 1837 and synonymous with gastronomic excellence in the eastern region of Twente. Carelshaven boasts 21 tastefully furnished double rooms, all of which are en suite and equipped with telephone, minibar and TV. Half of the rooms are situated in the main building and the other half in our garden wing. The rooms in the garden wing all have their own terrace or balcony.

The building, which has enjoyed the status of monument since 1995, is surrounded by an enchanting flower garden and set in 1.3 hectares of beautiful grounds. How to get to Carelshaven: From ENSCHEDE follow the A35 and take the exit for Delden. Turn left at the first set of traffic lights and left again at the next set of traffic lights. Then take the first road on your left and you will soon see Carelshaven on your right-hand side. From DEVENTER follow the A1 to Hengelo and then the A35 to Enschede. Take the exit for Delden, turn right at the first set of traffic lights and then left at the next set of traffic lights. After that, take the first road on your left and you will find yourself at Carelshaven. We are also easy to reach by public transport. Hengelo Railway Station is only 5 km away, from where you can take a taxi or bus to Delden. The bus stop is a mere 100 metres from the hotel. Delden Station is 1 km from Carelshaven, while Twente Airport is 15 km away and is best reached by taxi., |

Restauration et Boissons Le Restaurant The Conservatory, agrémenté de tons lumineux et chaleureux, offre un beau point de vue sur le jardin, avec ses vastes pelouses et ses parterres de fleurs bigarrés. Les tables sont agencées harmonieusement et la capacité d'accueil est d'environ 20 couverts.
On retrouve la même atmosphère ensoleillée dans le restaurant adjacent, rehaussé d'étranges touches classiques. Ce restaurant peut recevoir 25 personnes supplémentaires. En hiver, appréciez l'ambiance conviviale de la taverne, l'ancienne auberge des marchands, avec sa belle cheminée et ses meubles anciens.
