Restaurant & Hotel Carelshaven ***Hengelosestraat 30 Delden Built in 1772 by Earl Carel George van Wassenaar, Lord of Twickel, as an inn on the Twickel Canal. Under the management of the Kluvers Family since 1837 and synonymous with gastronomic excellence in the eastern region of Twente. Carelshaven boasts 21 tastefully furnished double rooms, all of which are en suite and equipped with telephone, minibar and TV. The building, which has enjoyed the status of monument since 1995, is surrounded by an enchanting flower garden and set in 1.3 hectares of beautiful grounds. How to get to Carelshaven: From ENSCHEDE follow the A35 and take the exit for Delden. Turn left at the first set of traffic lights and left again at the next set of traffic lights. Then take the first road on your left and you will soon see Carelshaven on your right-hand side. From DEVENTER follow the A1 to Hengelo and then the A35 to Enschede. Take the exit for Delden, turn right at the first set of traffic lights and then left at the next set of traffic lights. After that, take the first road on your left and you will find yourself at Carelshaven. We are also easy to reach by public transport.
